Once surrounded by family and a dedicated community of support, the modern family rarely has this luxury. So it is no surprise that the demand for doula care has risen significantly in recent years as more parents realize the benefits of constant support during what can be a very stressful experience.

Studies show that in addition to the emotional support offered by doulas before, during and after childbirth, there are also many health benefits to employing a doula.
